The work from the Points of View series is about ritualized looking. Through both experience and photography we interact with museum spaces, looking while moving.
The dimensional paintings in Points of View are on architectural model board: I want the viewer to be aware of these paintings as models of something real that is somewhere else. I use double images, reflective surfaces, shadows, and deep perspective to refer to the real place and to memory. The shadows and reflections in the paintings change in different lighting and from different points of view in the gallery. I am interested in the viewer being aware of how their their movement while looking reflects what the depicted figures are also doing in the paintings.
